Cultural life while studying innovation management in Glasgow

WELCOME TO GLASGOW

With a population of about 600,000 in the city and 2 million with the surrounding towns of Clydeside, Glasgow is characterised with a revitalised city centre, excellent parks and museums and a vivid cultural life.

Two areas are to be found more prominent than others in Glasgow: the city centre with major tourist attractions and the west end which is bohemian area of restaurants, with various cuisines, and cafes with Kelvingrove park and museum. Whether your’re a foodie or passionate about culture, Glasgow will reveal as an El Dorado for you. You are wondering about the nightlife of Glasgow? You might find yourself heading to clubs, seeking a first class cocktail in a relaxed bar, visiting comedy or music events, or experiencing a traditional Scottish pub. Everyone should get his money's worth. Fittingly, Glasgow is awarded the title of UNESCO city of music with an average of 130 music events in a week of different genres. Lastly, fashion lovers wont come up short either with a lot of shopping streets and squares.

On top of that, the city is well positioned in Scotland with an easy access to the infamous highlands, costs and islands. Also don’t miss a trip to the nearby Edinburgh.

Visit the university’s and the tourist information website to get a first impression of the city and the surrounding area.
